WE'RE NOT DEAD!!!

Hey everyone, I'm quite sorry it's been forever since I've posted (and obviously we've had quite a few Glee eps since the last podcast) but the podcast is NOT dead. I'm coming home for winter break in the next few days and I plan to bang out about three podcasts during the month I have off. I hope some of you are still out there and haven't forgotten about us. I have plans to continue the podcast here at college when the show comes back. I've finally managed to round up some people to do it with me and over the break I'll be finding a way for us to record. So, I'm super sorry but we will be back soon! Hope you're all enjoying the second season. I know I am! See you soon.

Ep 10.5: Grilled Cheesus

This is the second part of the tenth episode of Oral Intensity, a podcast about FOX's hit TV show Glee. In part two Dan and Dylan discuss the 3rd episode of season 2, entitled Grilled Cheesus. This is a shorter podcast than usual because most of the stuff was in part 1. Please send us your comments to oralintensitypodcast@gmail.com and visit our blog for fun Glee news. The music for this week's podcast includes the Glee version of Only the Good Die Young and R.E.M.'s Losing My Religion. Please subscribe to us and rate us on iTunes.

On a side note, some of you may have noticed that our old podcast links stopped working for a little bit. They are back up so you can download all the old episodes but this made the order of the episodes all messed up on iTunes. Sorry about that everyone.

Ep 10: Auditions and Britney/Brittany

On this tenth episode of Oral Intensity, a podcast about FOX's hit TV show Glee, Dan and Dylan discuss the 1st, and 2nd episodes of season two, entitled Auditions and Britney/Brittany. With Clara away at college and Dylan and I home for the weekend, we set into this episode hoping to catch up on the first three eps of the new season. Much like in episode 9 we went over and hour and a half talking about these eps and decided to split them into two podcasts. Part two of this podcast, in which we talk about the third episode, should be up soon. We start this episode with a little talk about what we've been up to in the past month and then go into our thoughts on the episodes. Please send us your comments to oralintensitypodcast@gmail.com. The music for this week's podcast includes Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Poison and Baby One More Time by Britney Spears. Please subscribe to us and rate us on iTunes.

Podcast Update

Hi everyone, I have a bit of an unfortunate update to bring you today. During this past week both Clara and I (Dan) got pretty sick and I definitely fell a bit behind on my work schedule so there isn't going to be a new podcast coming out today. On the bright side there definitely will be one next week for the first three episodes (barring an act of God) because Dylan and I are both going to be home at the same time. Sorry for the delay guys. Hope you keep listening! We're not dead! We will be back! In the mean time I hope everyone has been enjoying the second season as much as I have. I'm really looking forward to Puck's solo on Tuesday and I hope they handle the whole religion issue well.

A Note About the Podcast

So first off, Glee premiered last week and I have to say I thought it was AWESOME! I'm soo pumped for tomorrow's Brittney episode. We (the Oral Intensity crew) had planned on recording an episode about Auditions today but unfortunately due to scheduling and technical difficulties we weren't able to. Our plan now is to record an episode this coming weekend about the first two episodes of season 2. Sorry to keep you guys waiting but at least this way we can stick to our old format of two eps a podcast. With luck episode 10 will be up by this Sunday. Also, if you've sent us an email recently and we haven't sent anything back we're very sorry. We'll make sure to respond soon, we've just been bogged down with schoolwork. Who'da thunk college was actually hard? Stay Gleeky everybody!

Ep 9.5: Journey to Regionals

On this episode of Oral Intensity, a podcast about FOX's hit TV show Glee, Dan and Clara discuss the finale of season one, entitled Journey. This is the second part of episode 9 of the podcast. We recorded 9 as one big episode but decided to split it into two parts so we have no news in this episode. In this second half, we finally get to talk about the finale and debate about whether it was better than Sectionals. We wrap up the episode by talking about our plans for season 2. Please send us your comments to oralintensitypodcast@gmail.com and visit our blog for some great glee news. The music for this week's podcast includes the Glee version of Bohemian Rhapsody and the newly released Glee version of Empire State of Mind. Please subscribe to us and rate us on iTunes. If anyone wants to find versions of our podcasts at a smaller file size, you can search our episodes on archive.org. The pages for each of our episodes have mp3 versions of the episodes.

Ep 9: Theatricality and Funk

On this ninth episode of Oral Intensity, a podcast about FOX's hit TV show Glee, Dan and Clara discuss the 20th, and 21st episodes of season one, entitled Theatricality and Funk. With Dylan away at college, we set into this episode hoping to talk about the last three episodes of the season (including the finale). We went a little overboard and our podcast for the last three episodes was over an hour and a half so we decided to split it up into two episodes. Part two of this podcast, where we talk about the finale, will be up by tomorrow hopefully. We start this episode out with some fun Glee news and then go into our thoughts on the episodes. Please send us your comments to oralintensitypodcast@gmail.com and visit our blog for some great glee news. The music for this week's podcast includes two songs by Lady Gaga: Speechless and Paparazzi. Please subscribe to us and rate us on iTunes. Also, sorry for this one being such a large file size. Even with splitting the ep up this was still one of the longer eps and I don't know how to compress the file.

Emmys, Promos, and Some News

Hey everyone! It's been a bit since I put anything up on here since I've been busy with my first week of college but a lot has happened in the past week and a half gleewise. I thought I'd talk about all the news on here since we finished recording episode 9 a while ago and won't be recording another one till season 2 starts. First off, Glee won 4 Emmys which is great (though considering they were up for like a million it's not a whole lot). Neil Patrick Harris won for best guest star in a comedy (you'll hear my feelings on this in episode 9 of the podcast). Also, Ryan Murphy won for his outstanding directing and the show won for best sound-mixing in a comedy for Power of Madonna. Lastly, and most importantly, Jane Lynch won for best supporting actress in a comedy! The Emmys themselves actually started out with a really great musical skit involving the Glee kids which you can watch below if you missed it.

Now, beyond all the Emmy hubbub, there has been quite a bit of other Glee news. There may be some minor SPOILERS going down here so reader beware... though really it's just fun stuff and I'm only saying that for the spoiler freaks. This set of news doesn't include the stuff we talked about during episode 9 of the podcast so look out for that sometime next week. Ok so multiple sources that I've seen have confirmed that Jessie will in deed be back next season though we don't know how much. Clara, as any loyal OI listener would guess, kind of spazzed about that news. Also, Jane Lynch confirmed that Kurt's boyfriend has been cast and it is almost definitely Chord Overstreet. By the way, I have links to all this info but I'm honestly just way too lazy to put them in. There has also been a ton of talk of Finn being all about Rachel this season and some hints of them going kind of excessive on the PDA front.

There has also been some rumors of the football team doing "Stronger" in the Brittney Spears episode. Ask Ausiello has, as usual, provided a ton new glee tidbits as well. According to him a series regular will find him or herself in a life or death situation in episode 3 of the season. That same episode will deal with the fallout of the whole Burt/ Finn situation. Also, apparently Ryan Murphy still hasn't put much thought into casting the two gay dads so... I guess we won't be seeing them anytime soon. I think that's pretty much everything... EXCEPT we have promos! Really awesome promos! One of them is embedded below. To watch another promo click here. It starts off with some annoying girls talking but just fastforward through them. If you want to watch a cool video Mark Salling made about Glee (which is kind of old) click here. By the way, most of this news comes to you thanks to our awesome listener Elise! Thanks Elise!

Ep 7: Hell-O, Power of Madonna, and Home

On this seventh episode of Oral Intensity, a podcast about FOX's hit TV show Glee, Dan, Clara, and Dylan discuss the 14th, 15th, and 16th episodes of season one, entitled Hell-O, Power of Madonna, and Home. We don't have any news items this episode due to our recording schedule but we have plenty of arguments about Jessie to make up for it. We were all pretty tired when we recorded this so you get to hear our more loopy side. Please send us your comments to oralintensitypodcast@gmail.com. The music for this week's podcast includes the Glee version of Burning Up (which was released only as a bonus track) and the Glee version of Hello Goodbye. Please subscribe to us and rate us on iTunes.

Ep 6: Hairography, Mattress, and Sectionals

On this sixth episode of Oral Intensity, a podcast about FOX's hit TV show Glee, Dan, Clara, and Dylan discuss the 11th, 12th, and 13th episodes of season one, entitled Hairography, Mattress, and Sectionals. We start with some Glee news from our listeners. This is the first podcast with our three episode system where we break the episodes into storylines instead of recapping them. Please send us your comments to oralintensitypodcast@gmail.com. The music for this week's podcast includes You Might Think by The Cars and the Glee version of Don't Make Me Over. Please subscribe to us and rate us on iTunes.

Our Recording Schedule

First off, I wanted to apologize for taking two weeks to get episode 6 uploaded. Hopefully nobody thought we forgot about the podcast. We've actually been working hard and have recorded episodes 6, 7, and 8 in the last two weeks. We did this because Dylan had to leave for college early so we wanted to have her on as many episodes as possible before she had to leave.

Clara and I should be recording episode 9 (which will bring us to the end of season 1) in the next few days. Now, we didn't want to release all these episodes at once and then have no podcasts at all until season 2 started so we're gonna release an episode about once a week. Things may be slightly delayed because I'm going off the college at the end of the week and there is a ton of preparation that goes into that. Our plan for season 2 is to do some of the episodes with all three of us via the internet but I'm hoping to find some other friends in college that will be able to pick up some of the slack. Also, as of now our Prize is still up for grabs so if you want it then just write us a review on iTunes and send us an email. Due to the way we are trickling out the podcasts some of the info may be outdated by the time we put them up so just bare that in mind.

We Surpassed 1000 Downloads!

Ok, so this is a little late but a week ago the podcast surpassed 1000 downloads! We were very excited by this and so we made a little video in celebration. It's just the three of us goofing around but we hope you like it. Thank you to everyone for your support!

We start with a plethora of Glee News from Glee's TCA panel. Next, we quickly recap the episodes and then share our thoughts and ideas about them. A big point of debate this week is whether Mercedes did the right thing by not telling Finn that Puck was the father. Please send us your comments to oralintensitypodcast@gmail.com. The music for this week's podcast includes Dancing With Myself by Billy Idol and the Glee version of Crush. Please subscribe to us and rate us on iTunes.

This is the first episode of Oral Intensity, a podcast about the hit FOX television show, Glee! In this first podcast we (Dan, Dylan, and Clara) introduce ourselves and cover a wide range of topics. This episode is focused around the first two episodes of season 1: The Pilot and Showmance. We quickly recap the episodes and then tell our thoughts about how we feel these early episodes compare to those later in the season. We also look back at our introductions to the characters we love and discuss the musical performances. Other topics discussed include how realistic we find McKinley High School and what we think of the many relationships on the show. Please send us your comments and constructive criticisms to oralintensitypodcast@gmail.com. The music for the podcast is A Fifth of Beethoven and Soul Bossa Nova performed by The Swingle Singers. The podcast should be on iTunes within a few days. Once it's up please subscribe and rate us.  Thanks for listening everyone.

About the Podcast

This blog is all about Oral Intensity, a podcast made by me (Dan) and a few of my close friends. We're really big Glee fans and now that season one has ended we decided that we wanted to look back at the show's amazing beginning by doing a podcast which we plan to continue on into season 2 and beyond. As any true Gleek should know our podcast's name comes from the name of a team that beats out New Directions in the season one finale, Aural Intensity. Yes, we are aware that it is in fact called Aural Intensity but let's face it, most people thought they were talking about Oral when they first heard it on the show and it's just way funnier. We have come up with a few alternative names such as Danny and the Gleeks or The Gleek Squad but we couldn't decide on a name and just ended up with Oral Intensity. Anyway, the current format of the show is that we will cover two episodes of Glee per podcast, starting with the Pilot and Showmance. We plan to do a podcast a week (or possibly more) so that we finish going through season one before season two starts. We hope you enjoy the show and please bear with us as we work out the kinks within our first couple podcasts. We're new to this thing.
